22 chapters in the biblical book of Revelations. 22 cards in the tarot major arcana. Allow me the opportunity to set the records straight, secular spirituality is my “religion,” based on the syncretism of mythology, narratology, linguistics, psychology, phenomenology and semiotics. Thus is the foundation of my personal philosophy. These are my words, my thoughts, my selfish self-centred version of the truth of divinity.
Chapter 5 – The book of life and the lionheart lamb.
The scroll is the book of life, a living record of memory. The seals are locks that each require a key. All 7 keys are required to access the document. Oh, to have a premium library card for the hall of akashic records…
1 Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?” 3 But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. 4 I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. 5 Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
The lionhearted lamb is the one who is worthy and strong enough to withstand the power and not be consumed by it. Whomever is SPECIALLY SELECTED. (Tribe of Judah is irrelevant, classist and racist.)
It could also be a reference to Mithraism and the leontocephaline.
Check it out: the body of a winged man with a lion’s head. The creature is bound by a snake, and is holding a sceptre and what appear to be 2 keys. It seems that this lion may be a locksmith, and managed to have just the right lock for this particular vault of a book.
The lamb is pure, innocent and meek. It looks like it may have been slain, so perhaps this lamb had been in battle and just managed to survive (or die, in order to transcend the material to the empyreal realm). It may be a sacrifice, or a disarming disguise. Like pulling the sword from the stone, when the book is ready to be read, the spirits are overcome with anticipation and excitement.
6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne.
In actuality, this is you. The seeker. The one finally able to ascend and master yourself, you have conquered your trials and inner demons, your soul has made its complete evolution. Congratulations. Well done. You have reached the throne you so wanted to own.
8 And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. 9 And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.
10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God,
and they will reign on the earth.”
Think of this like it is a stadium and the crowd are watching a football game, where you have the crowd rooting for (possibly, or not) different sides and they cheer or boo the star person/player, depending on what side they prefer to support.
Or maybe they are just finally relieved someone can do the thing and just get on with it. “OMG, FINALLY! YAASS, QUEEN.” As who knows how long they have been waiting for you to reach the culmination point, where you are going to finally disintegrate the pain and bullshit of the world around you. Cut the ties that bind you to your self-deceptive side of yourself.
Go on, read your book of life and destiny. See the power you hold within yourself when you transcend the laws and chains of humanity.
