Ursula Asked Questions

More than one month ago Ursula mashed up a bunch of questionnaires into a list and here I am, finally answering them! Because we all know how I love to talk about me. And you all love reading about me talking about me.

  1. What is your favorite word?
    • Moist.
  2. What is your favorite curse word?
    • Cunt.
  3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
    • Things that remind me of who I used to be, who I could be, or something familiar I did.
  4. What sound or noise do you love?
    • My kids laughing.
  5. What natural gift would you most like to possess?
    • Is any gift natural? I mean, developing a talent or skill takes practice. By “natural” I’m assuming you mean something my attempt would be successful without trying? Or do you mean a gift that is within the natural realm of acquiring (no cybernetic enhancements or arcane magic powers)? I guess I would most like to have powers of mentalism and ninja agility, strength and physical feats.
  6. What is your principal defect? List the pros of having this defect and give it a positive spin (imagine that you’re selling it to someone else)?
    • I have no filter when I speak, or direction in general (figuratively speaking. I have a good sense of directional bearings). This is not a terrible flaw, for it feeds creativity. You can trust what I say, but also shouldn’t take it all seriously.
  7. What is your motto? Why is it your motto? Where or who did it come from originally?
    • Fuck it. Fuck is such a versatile word, the meaning changes depending on how you say it. For me, it’s about throwing caution to the wind. Facing your fear and just diving in. I have no idea what I’m doing but still I keep on going. Fuck it, right?
  8. What was the last gift you gave?
    • $20 for a birthday cake.
  9. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why? Describe the color to somebody who is blind.
    • I would be a crimson colour. The colour of a blood smear along a glass slide, or the colour of a burning ember of coal. It is a deep and rich red that somehow glows.
  10. What are you known for?
    • Being the worst diabetic (“Fuck it, I’ll just jab myself with more insulin!”). And also the bad kids at school are good for me.
  11. What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume (or online bio/profile) alone?
    • I was born 2 weeks overdue. My mum had to be induced and 36 hours later I was scooped into existence via emergency cesarean. I am a juggernaut force, even from birth. If I don’t want to move or do something, you are damned right you will need a team of surgeons to get me to comply with your demands. Unless I want to do the thing then fucking aye, you’ll probably need to call back that surgical troupe to try to stop me.
  12. What’s the last thing you watched on TV and why did you choose to watch it?
    • I watched episode 3 of The OA on netflix. I chose to watch it because i had seen the first 2 episodes a little while back and felt like watching sonething. I wasn’t interested in starting anything new.
  13. How would you convince someone to do something they didn’t want to?
    • use persuasive language techniques, and present them with alternative facts on my PowerPoint presentation I set up specifically for this.
  14. You’ve been given an elephant. You can’t give it away or sell it. What would you do with the elephant?
    • Film a musical montage of me and Stampey stampeding through parks and meadows, stomping on home made bongs, kicking gnomes, and standing in rooms waiting how long it would take before someone mentions it.
  15. We finish the interview and you step outside the office and find a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million. What would you do?
    • Cash it in.
  16. Teach me something I don’t know in the next five minutes (in your reply to this question).
    • Azidoazide azide is the most volative chemical compound in existence. C2N14. It will explode because it wants to. My husband told me of this chemical’s existence, and said that it is almost as unpredictably unstable as I am.

Cool Kim, thank you for answering the Q’s 😀 Great answers!

Ha! I just recently finished watching season 2 of The OA. I love Brit Marling’s work, she does some deeply weird stuff which is always brilliant. It’s lovely to find someone who goes off the beaten track, and who actually likes to think and share her thinks.
